Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways – A Code of Practice

Prepared by the Department for Transport, the ‘Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways’ sets out the statutory requirements for materials, performance and standards of workmanship for use in association with street works by utilities and other undertakers with apparatus in the street.

The statutory guidance came in to effect on 10th May 2021.
